This year we remember particularly the great battle which saved the liberty Germaniens (under the leadership Armin of the Cheruskers).
This victory of the Germanic alliance about the best legions of Rome by far was not the last battle in wrestling against the foreign rule. But his consequences continue to have an effect to this day.
