This memorial stone has a height of 14 cm, breadth of 4.5 cm.
Knowledge of runic writing reached the Nordic countries, as early as the 3:rd century A.D. After 400 A.D. it began to be used for inscriptions on stones. The stone was usually put up to commemorate a dead person or some great deed.
The inscription reads:
"Ingefast had this stone erected after Olev his father, and Öd after her husband."
